Much of
what the Warrior knows she cannot tell, so she tells a little of
everything in many places, scattering her knowledge so it is known
by no one but is spoken of everywhere." - Bill Mollison
InfraWarrior is the essence of "power from within": a personal view
of primal energy and its release; a cathartic mix of Monica Richards'
spoken word, and classic rich, textural vocals, drenched in cinematic
soundscapes and world tribal/ritual rhythms.
This evocative
project, composed by Monica Richards alone, is at once hard-hitting
and sensual, a revolutionary and seductive culmination evolving
from over twenty years as an Independent artist. InfraWarrior ranges from Neo-Classical and World Music to Avant Garde melodies,
and each song has a story to tell. At times personal and at times
filled with rage at unaddressed social issues, she is not afraid
to speak her mind.
Monica Richards,
who began singing in her early teens fronting bands during the heyday
of the Washington D.C. early 80s' hardcore punk scene, is best known
through her years in the dark electro/tribal duo of Faith and the
Muse. Highly respected for her deep poetic lyrical sense and the
ability to take her listeners to another realm, InfraWarrior is the music that fans of Monica Richards have been waiting years
to discover.
